Host's Story
Origin from a meaningful project
More than three or four years ago, when the 'Ethnic Minority Women Entrepreneurship' project was implemented locally, Ms. Hong Du was among the first to register. The project encouraged women in the village to develop community tourism – opening homestays to create jobs while preserving traditional culture.

A question that changed everything
"I also have a stilt house, love welcoming guests, enjoy telling stories about the village – why not try?"

Not an easy journey but worthwhile
At the beginning, difficulties piled up. But she was not alone in this journey.
Lack of Capital
Starting business with limited resources, everything must be carefully calculated
Lack of Experience
Not knowing how to receive tourists, especially international guests
Lack of Confidence
Worried about not meeting tourists' expectations
Valuable Support
Thanks to her two sisters' prior experience, Ms. Du was guided in every small detail – from arranging bedding, setting up meals to welcoming guests pleasantly.

Initially, guests only knew through word-of-mouth or a small Facebook fanpage. Yet her warmth and sincerity made many people come, return again, and bring friends.
The more she worked, the happier Ms. Du became. For her, the homestay is not just accommodation but a house open to laughter.
