Phu Mau Shan Tuyet Tea Hills

Green color amid Northwest wilderness

Amid the vast mountain forest space of Phu Mau village (Van Ho commune, Son La province), Shan Tuyet tea hills stretch like soft green silk ribbons embracing mountain slopes. Not towering or century-old like in other regions, tea hills here carry rustic, familiar features – the result of Thai people's hands carefully tending each tea row, cultivated from love for homeland's land and mountains.

Misty morning
When mist still lingers, water drops sparkle on young tea buds like small gems. Wind sounds gently through leaves, harmonizing with fresh tea's sweet fragrance creating nature's gentle symphony.
When sun rises
When sun rises, entire tea hills light up in jade green reflecting sunlight, opening peaceful and pure picture of Son La highlands.

Flavor from human hands

Tea Hills 3
Phu Mau people consider tea plants as companions through sun and wind seasons. They pick each young bud by hand, roast tea over red wood fire – keeping pristine mountain forest flavor.
Shan Tuyet tea here isn't too strong, but leaves light sweet aftertaste in throat, gentle and profound like highland people themselves.
Especially, Phu Mau tea hills have two different leaf types – traditional green leaves and leaves with light red color, creating diversity and unique character of tea fields here.
