Host's Story
A Small Chance, A Big Decision
In the past, Ms. Khanh’s life was as simple as that of anyone else in the village. One day, a few foreign visitors stopped by to rest. They praised the village’s beauty and the friendliness of its people. From that compliment, a thought came to her:
What if I tried welcoming guests, so more people could discover our village?
The First Hesitant Steps and a Change That Began in the Yard

At first, everything felt unfamiliar — the house was still modest, communication was difficult — but she didn’t give up. She observed, learned, and transformed her yard into a communal space for guests — a small idea that created a big difference.
Instead of feeling discouraged, Ms. Khanh began to watch, learn, and gradually make changes.
Creativity Rooted in Tradition
Her family was among the first in the village to think of turning their yard and everyday tools into a communal area for visitors — a small yet remarkable idea. Without demolishing or building anew, she made use of their traditional stilt house, renovating it to be more comfortable while preserving its rustic, cozy charm.
